- Dr. Christian A. Alalor is an accomplished pharmaceutical scientist and Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmaceutics at Delta State University, Abraka, Nigeria. With a PhD in Pharmaceutics & Pharmaceutical Technology from the University of Benin, Dr. Alalor specializes in phytoformulations, novel drug delivery systems, nanoformulations, and biopharmaceutics.
He brings over 15 years of progressive academic experience, including teaching, mentoring, and research. His scholarly work focuses on innovative formulation strategies using natural polymers, particularly in enhancing drug delivery and bioavailability. Notably, his research includes the use of Abelmoschus esculentus (okra) gum in floating-bioadhesive tablet systems.
Dr. Alalor has contributed to national pharmaceutical standards as an expert member of the National Technical Committee on Pharmaceuticals (Standard Organization of Nigeria, SON) and served in multiple consultancy roles with USAID, enhancing drug supply systems. He has published in reputable, peer-reviewed journals and presented at scientific conferences. His active affiliations include the Clinical Pharmacogenetics Implementation Consortium (CPIC), the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria (PSN), and the National Association of Pharmacists in Academia (NAPA).
